Luis Enrique Martínez García was born in 1994 in the province of Jaén, where he began his musical training. He then continued his studies at the Conservatorio de Granada, where he won second prize in the soloist competition in 2014. At the same time, he studied musicology at the University of Granada.

He moved to Stuttgart to pursue his artistic studies and earned his bachelor’s degree at the University of Music and Performing Arts under Christian Schmitt and Jérémy Sassano. From 2018 to 2022, he studied with Prof. Nick Deutsch at the University of Music and Theater Leipzig, where he earned both a master’s degree and, concurrently, a Master of Education.

Even while still a student, Luis Enrique Martínez García gained a wide range of orchestral and stage experience. In 2016, he won second prize at the Seville Double Reed Association’s soloist competition. In 2017, he performed as a soloist with the Granada Philharmonic Orchestra. He also attended master classes with renowned oboists such as Kai Frömbgen, Ramón Ortega, Thomas Indermühle, David Walter, and Jacques Tys.

As a member of various youth orchestras and festival ensembles, he has performed with the Orquesta Joven de Andalucía, the Baden-Württemberg State Youth Orchestra, and the Junge Deutsche Philharmonie, among others. In 2019, he served as principal oboist with the Leipzig Symphony Orchestra. In addition, he has collaborated with numerous professional orchestras, including the Kammerphilharmonie Mannheim, the Landespolizeiorchester Baden-Württemberg and the Nordwestdeutsche Philharmonie Dessau.

From 2022 to 2023, Luis Enrique Martínez García served as second oboist and English hornist with the Lower Saxony Police Orchestra. As a guest musician, he has performed with the Málaga Philharmonic Orchestra, the Pfalztheater Kaiserslautern, the Gießen Philharmonic Orchestra, and Det Norske Blåseensemble, among others.

Luis Enrique Martínez García is currently the principal oboist with the Landespolizeiorchester Hessen.
